Whittington Neighbourhood House is a not-for-profit community organisation that has proudly served the local community since 1984. For over four decades, we have been a welcoming place where people come together to connect, learn and contribute.

We work alongside our community to create inclusive, supportive opportunities that build confidence, skills and belonging. We welcome people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, and are committed to creating spaces where everyone feels valued and supported. Through meaningful programs, shared experiences and everyday connections, we help people enrich their lives and form relationships they may not otherwise have the opportunity to make. At the heart of our work is a belief that strong communities grow when people feel connected, empowered and supported to participate.

Neighbourhood Houses began as a community movement in the 1970s. Today, there are almost 400 independent, community-based Neighbourhood Houses across Victoria, all working to bring people together and support strong, connected communities.

Every House is different because each one responds to the unique needs of its community. They work closely with other local organisations to improve opportunities and wellbeing for local residents.
